Last month, I attended my very first Internet Marketing Seminar, Robert Puddy’s BritPackLive event near Coventry in the UK.

I learnt about it after I met Robert in January, at one of his half-day workshops. Fortunately, he happened to be holding one in my home town of Bristol. I soon discovered why…it was Robert’s home town too!

Anyway, the Britpack event is Robert’s main UK Seminar for Internet Marketer’s (he runs one in the US) and overall I was very impressed.

The speakers included, amongst others, Sean Roach (hilarious), Scott Paton, Tracy Repchuk, Pat Lovell, John Delavera (eccentric but very likeable), Tim Brocklehurst and Richard Butler.

Other top names who didn’t want to give live presentations but were present in an advisory capacity included Simon Hodgkinson and Jeremy Gislason of MarketingMainEvent3 fame. Those guys generated $1.6 million in sales in just 7 days this summer with MME3. Yet they revealed at the eve-of-seminar dinner that they were meeting in person for the very first time that night! Incredibly they’d built a million dollar business together just using skype and email to communicate!

I also had a chance to chat with Alex Jeffries of Easy Profit Auctions and fellow members Randy Smith and Sally Neill…great to meet you guys!

So what did I learn?

Well, although all the speakers were uniformly excellent and gave lots of valuable content, the best part for me was the contacts I made with other marketers during the intervals and in after-hours drinking sessions! The opportunity to introduce yourself in person, pick people’s brains and strike up long term jv partnerships was priceless and worth the entrance fee alone.

If you have the chance, try to get along to one of these events. One of Robert’s favourite saying’s is “making money online is a team sport” and you’ll realise why once you attend one.
